The Kodak ESP Office 2170 all-in-one printer is yet another great product from the imaging giant. It takes up the tasks of three additional office components, copier, fax machine and scanner and does so with ease. A true MFP (Multi-Function Printer) Ink-Jet, it comes equipped with a host of functions to make your printing tasks easy and headache free. This printer is capable of printing borderless 4 by 6-inch photos is as little as 38 seconds. It will print out pictures at 4800 dots per inch and 1200 by 1200 dots per inch for text. The paper tray can hold up to 150 pages of A4 or letter and 40 sheets of photo paper. It is also capable of printing directly for smartphones with the aid of the Kodak PicFlick Application for smartphones.
The copier function is accomplished at a speed of five copies per minute in black and three copies per minute in color. The scanner function is performed at a resolution of 1200 dots per inch and can directly scan to computer, e-mail, network folders, memory cards and USB flash drives. It is also capable of scanning many pictures simultaneously and outputting to separate files. Faxing is done in both black and color. The memory can store up to 100 pages, and the dialer can store up to 60 numbers in speed dial. There is a 25 page document feeder tray for un-attended functions.
Connectivity on this MFP is through 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Wi and high speed USB 2.0. It is also equipped with a USB/PictBridge Port. There is a multi-card slot that can handle Secure Digital (SD)/Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC), Multimedia Card (MMC), Memory Stick (MS)/Memory Stick Pro (PRO). The printer comes with a 1.5-inch LCD color display. The printer is Energy Star Certified and weighs in at 15.2 lbs. All in all this is a great printer for the office or home user with a slew of features.
